It’s pretty ridiculous, I know. As if Ramona even cares about her bunny suit, or the pumpkin patch, or candy for that matter (actually she’d be pretty into the candy, if we would allow it). Ramona’s first Halloween is more like our first Halloween–with kids. Reliving the pumpkin patch, carving a little kitty pumpkin and two big Mama and Daddy pumpkins, and of course there is the costume. The bunny was a pretty easy pick. For one, Ramona’s favorite stuffed animal is a little bean bag bunny we call Sugar and her favorite song is “John the Rabbit” by Elizabeth Mitchell. And I have to brag for just a second. I believe I’ve got the cutest little bunny around. She’s so cute in the little bunny suit, in fact, that this costume has been sported almost everyday now for 2 weeks–in the stroller, to the pumpkin patch, to her aunt Lillian’s. It’s simply too cute to only wear one day! Right?
To the hipsters dressed as zombies, to the college girls dressed as a sexy cats and nurses, to all the kiddos who have been looking forward to bags of candy and the smell of makeup all year, Happy Halloween! And to the first time parents of babies who will get all giddy dressing up their little beans in onesie costumes for nothing more than a sweet “ooohhh and ahhhh”, a couple of photos and walk down memory lane, enjoy this All Hallows Eve. We’ll be doing the same with a little bunny rabbit named Ramona Moon.
